A Tata with added value and Flash

30.11.2016

One of the initial models to spearhead its entry to the South African market some ten years ago now, Tata has introduced value version of its venerable Indica hatch, the Flash.

Using the standard Indica LGI as a base, the Flash receives mainly cosmetic additions in the form of black Flash decals down the doors, Flash logo on the corner of the bonnet and alloy wheels in place of the usual steelies. Inside, the seats and steering wheel are now finished in leather with the latter also featuring Flash decals on the headrest. A Bluetooth enabled sound system with USB completes the interior changes.

Up front, the Flash continues to make use of the tried and tested 1.4-litre petrol engine that makes 56 kW and 110 N.m of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels with Tata claiming a combined fuel consumption figure of 6.5 L/100 km.

A three year / 100 000 km warranty and two year / 45 000 km service plan is included in the R124 995 asking price.
