Tata has unveiled its first Indica facelift in South Africa, giving the hatchback a more modern and sporty exterior and interior design.
The front bumper now features a sporty black mesh with round spot lights integrated into the design and elegantly finished with newly designed teardrop shaped headlamps and sleek contoured dual-tone side mirrors, while the interior has also undergone an upgrade from a grey interior to a stylish combination of black and brushed silver colour-tone on the middle console.
The facelift has, however, not affected the affordable pricing and value-for-money features the Tata Indica is renowned for.
The LX and LXi models come standard with ABS (including EBD), seatbelt pretensioners, airbags, electric windows and remote central locking. Thereafter the LSi, LEi and LE all comply with the Euro2 Safety requirements of a collapsible steering column, side intrusion beams, anti-submarine seats, crumple zones and adjustable time intermittent wipers. Power steering is standard across the range.
Still positioned as one of South Africa’s most affordable brands, the 1.4 Tata Indica remains competitively priced at R70,495 for the LE baseline model; R78,995 for the LEi; R82,995 for the LSi and the top spec models at R93,995 for the LX and R96,495 for the LXi.
Included in the price is a free 2 year/45 000km service plan plus a 3 year/100 000km factory warranty and a 2 year/unlimited km Tata Roadside Assistance plan.
