2018 World Car of the Year finalists confirmed


The 82 member jury responsible for the World Car of the Year title have released their final list of contenders for the 2018 awards.

Originally announced back in September, the finalists for the overall title have been whittled down from 35 to 10, while similar cuts have also taken place in the respective categories of World Urban, Green, Luxury and Performance Car of the Year. Previously withheld, the finalists for World Car Design of the Year have now also been revealed.

The winners will be announced at the New York International Auto Show on March 28, and, in alphabetical order, are the following:

  • Hyundai Kona
  • Nissan Micra

World Green Car of the Year
