Aston Martin getting closer to launching all-new DB10 styled Vantage

Reportedly expected to debut towards the end of the year, a single rear end teaser image of the new Aston Martin Vantage has made it online.

Posted on twitter by Auto Express editor-in-chief Steve Fowler, the image, allegedly the invite to the Vantage's international launch, only shows the newcomer under a cover with a LED light strip across the entire width of the rear end.

While failing to betray its final looks, previous spy shots have shown a radical departure from the current twelve year old model, with styling derived from the DB10 build exclusively for the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, and even the Vulcan track-day hypercar.

Like the recently launched V8 DB11, the new Vantage will finally do away with the Jaguar derived 4.7-litre engine for the familiar twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre AMG-sourced V8, expected to produce 500 pferdestärke (PS) or 368 kW as opposed to the DB11's 375 kW.

Paired to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch 'box, the Vantage will reportedly complete the 0-60 mph (96 km/h) dash in four seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph or 305 km/h. A V12 model using the same 5.2-litre mill as the DB11 will likely go on sale at a later stage.

No official launch date has yet been announced.
