While still heavily camouflaged, the Q7-underpinned coupe has seemingly remained true to the concept shown in Detroit last month, with the rear featuring the same thin LED lights and prominent if blacked-out new single frame grille design.
Engine details are still fague but expect the newcomer to make use of the same V6 and V8 TDI engines as the Q7, and maybe the 3.0 TFSI plug-in hybrid powerunit that powered the concept.
Elsewhere, first pictures of the new Audi A6 have emerged also undergoing winter testing. Said to feature the same styling elements as the new A4 and A5, the A6 will again use the same MLB architecture as the outgoing model, but shared with the recently introduced A8 meaning in a 100 kg drop in weight.
Mirroring its bigger brother further, the interior will reportedly be a radical departure from the current A6 with a completely brand-new layout, extensive use of autonomous tech and the same Virtual Cockpit Display as other models.
Engine choice will again consist out of a selection of four and six-cylinder TDI engines as well as four-pot TFSI units, with a plug-in hybrid TFSI also being mulled. Both front and quattro all-wheel drive layouts will again be offered, although the manual gearbox might be dropped completely in favour of the seven-speed S tronic and eight-speed Tiptronic 'boxes.
