Based on the V10 and flagship V10 plus, the Sport Edition comes finished in Audi Sport's silver, red and black colours, although a selection of other hues would also be offered. Setting the Sport Edition apart from the regular V10 further are 20-inch Y-spoke forged aluminium wheels, red mirror caps and side blades, titanium black grille, splitter and diffuser, red brake callipers and Audi Sport logos on the rim flanges.
Inside, the interior gets red and black door cards, Audi Sport badged aluminium inserts, Nappa leather trimmed sport seats also finished black and red, Audi Sport illuminated door sills, special 1/200 plaque, contrasting dark silver stitching on the steering wheels, doors and seats, red 12 o'clock steering wheel marking, carbon inlays and R8 logo embossed on the headrests.
Like the standard R8, the Sport Edition's normally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 is kept unchanged at 397 kW and 449 kW for the V10 plus, with a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox sending the grunt to all four wheels via Audi's trademark quattro all-wheel drive system.
Limited to just 200 units with orders set to open next month, prices in Germany start at €181 900 (R2 616 849) and €205 800 (R2 960 679) for the V10 plus.
