Audi releases mean-looking Amplified A1

THE A1 has been a tremendous success for Audi. Since its launch in February 2011 (and the Sportback last year), 5 227 units have found homes.

Audi has been aiming the A1 squarely at the young, urban and lifestyle orientated individual since its launch, with unique customisation playing an integral part. From roof-arch to air-vent to interior colours, every customer can drive his own, one-of-a-kind A1 off the showroom floor.

To add some spice to life, Audi has now introduced the A1 Amplified package. This limited-edition offering - available only on Ambition models - combines a range of exclusive, optional customisation features from quattro GmbH and Audi Genuine Accessories into one package.

The Audi A1 Amplified can be had in either Misano Red of Glacier White and features a high-gloss black roof arch on the three-door (full roof dome on the Sportback), S line roof spoiler, exterior mirror housings and single-frame grille, as well as transparent film for the engine hood, roof and rear hatch. It will ride on 17-inch alloys in a five-arm design with black inserts.

Unique interior features include body colour air-vent sleeves, black sport seats with stitching in Parade Red or Rock Gray and floor mats with piping in matching colours.

The Amplified package costs R22 430 (including exterior metallic paint) and will be built to order at the dedicated Audi A1 production facility in Brussels, Belgium.
