Camouflaged mini Mercedes-Benz G-class snapped for the first time

06.02.2017

Spy images perpetually showing the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz GLB being transported on a trailer, have surfaced online well before its official unveiling.

Set to be one of the models the three pointed star has earmarked to expand its small car platform from the current five to eight by 2020, the mini G-class GLB will reportedly borrow heavily from the Enter-G Force concept shown at the 2012 Los Angeles Motor Show in the styling department, and use the same Modular Front-wheel drive Architecture 2 expected to underpin the next generation A-class hatch and sedan, CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, as well as the new B-class and GLA.

Only expected to arrive in 2019, the GLB will be powered by a range of three and four cylinder turbo petrol and diesel engines, with five and seven seat options being mulled as well manual and dual-clutch gearboxes.
