Expected to succeeded the much maligned Tribeca that ended production some two years ago, the Viziv-7, its name denoting Vision for Innovation, is claimed to "embody the future vision of car development", with Subaru touting it as becoming a production reality by 2018.
Measuring 5.2 m in overall length with a wheelbase of 2.9 m, height of 1.8 m and width of 2.0 m, the Viviz-7 also incorporates the latest version of Subaru's Dynamic x Solid design language with hints from the Forester and Outback at the front, although the rear can be confused at first glance for that of a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
No technical details were made though US media reports claim the Viviz-7 will sport the same 3.6-litre flat-six as the Legacy, and a four-cylinder turbo when it enters production.
