Could this be Volkswagen's new crossover challenger?

A Chinese based website has published a series of undisguised pictures showing what appears to be the production version of Volkswagen's 2013 CrossBlue concept.

According to Autohome, the seven-seat crossover, for now known as the Teramont, will use the same Modularer Querbaukasten or Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform as other VAG (Volkswagen Automotive Group) products, and share the same dimensions as the Audi Q7.

Engines choices remain unknown although the pictures, also obtained by, shows the Teramont wearing a 2.0 TSI badge while another features V6 badging, possibly referring to the normally aspirated 3.6-litre unit used in the Touareg and US-market Passat.

CarNewsChina has meanwhile alleged that the Teramont will debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November, with production expected to take place in China and North America.
