First female calibrator in Africa is employed by GM


IN AN industry dominated by men, a woman by the name of Sue-Ann Lewack has stood out, not only because she is woman, but because she is very good at what she does. Ms Lewack is now Africa's first certified female calibrator.

Sue-Ann also impressed many when she attained her certification in just seven months, the shortest time possible. The position that the 39 year old finds herself in is one of the most sought after positions in the automotive sector.

All General Motors(GM) plants globally are calibrated by GM certified calibrators while the Global Manufacturing System (GMS) calibration assessment takes place to maintain the highest manufacturing standards and to ensure Short Lead Time (SLT).

When required, Lewack will now be responsible for calibrating GM plants globally. She has already been assigned to assess GM
