Global Peugeot Pick-up coming in 2020


Having unveiled the simply titled Pick-up in June for the North and West African markets, Peugeot has confirmed that it will be entering the global one-tonne pick-up segment in 2020 as part of a joint partnership with Chinese automaker Changan.

According to a report by Automotive News, the yet as unnamed newcomer will reportedly be developed to meet "the most stringent worldwide regulations and customers expectation with a very strong design and uncompromised quality and durability".

Production is expected to take place at Changan's factory in Dingzhou, with Peugeot stating that it will ride on a completely new platform instead of the Pick-up's D22 Nissan Navara derived underpinnings.
