Honda peps up Jazz before Frankfurt reveal

Due to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, Honda has unveiled a revised version of the Jazz for Europe, with the biggest addition being a new Dynamic trim level.

Falling in line with what Honda calls its "Solid Wing Face" styling language, external changes to the Jazz are subtle and mainly includes a sculpted front bumper, redesigned headlights and grille, new air vents, gloss black strip linking the rear vents, different rear bumper and a new colour dubbed Skyride Blue.

At the top of the range, the Dynamic adds gloss black 16-inch alloy wheels, front splitter and rear diffuser with contrasting red detailing, LED headlights, boot spoiler, side skirts and front foglights. While the interior remains unchanged on regular models, the Dynamic gets a leather wrapped steering wheel with orange stitching, and a leather gear knob also with orange detailing.

Underneath the bonnet, the Dynamic now comes fitted with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine used in South African versions, but with power rated at 96 kW as opposed to 88 kW. Backing-up the 74 kW 1.3-litre mill offered until now, the Dynamic comes fitted as standard with six-speed manual gearbox, while a CVT is optional.

Pricing has so far yet to be announced although delivers are expected to commence in November.
