The wagon’s extended roofline provides rear passengers with an additional 48mm of headroom while cargo room moves up to some 1675 litres. On the outside, there is a new front bumper design with bigger and lower-mounted air intakes. There is also a front splitter for aerodynamics as well as extended side sills and aeroblade mouldings behind both the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels.
Performance comes from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, which now boasts 405kW and 680Nm thanks to revisions to the engine management system and optimisation of the flow of air both into and out of the engine.
The gearbox is similar to that seen on the F-Type sportscar, with eight speedsand Jaguar’s Quickshift technology. The figures translate in to a 0-100km/h time of 4.8seconds and a top speed of 300km/h.
The Sportbrake’s rear suspension has had revisions to both rear spring rates and the adaptive damper tune. There is also a recalibrated active electronic differential and a reprogrammed dynamic stability control system. Overall lateral suspension stiffness has been increased by 30% front and rear the with front and rear spring rates increased by the same amount.
