Jeep Wrangler shows its conservative side


JEEP SA has unveiled a new version of one of its most popular models, the Jeep Wrangler Conservation Edition. This vehicle is based on the standard Wrangler and Wrangler Sahara models with the Conservation Edition being made in limited numbers in conjunction with the Reserve Protection Agency (RPA). The RPA is anon-profit and public benefit organisation at the forefront of the protection of South Africa’s endangered wildlife species, specifically focusing on protecting our diminishing rhino population.

The buyer has the choice of either the 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine or the 2.8-litre Common Rail diesel engine. The point of this model isto raise awareness of the plight of our endangered species countrywide with special decals and additional extras.

 The Conservation Edition gets numerous features such as the Mopar light bar with four spotlights, Mopar fuel filler cap, Mopar tail light guards, Conservation Edition decaling, two night’s accommodation for two at any SANParks venue, a Big Five bracelet from The Bead Coalition, access to  - owners section - including RPA Jeep Cam and other exciting offers, as well as a voucher for Jeep Apparel/Merchandising from any Jeep store to the value of R3.000and a copy of the Jeep Off-road Essentials hand-book.

 Five buyers of the Conservation Edition stand a chance to win a five-day adventure for two with the RPA team at Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. The prize includes a five-day/four-night stay at Amakhala, RPA 4x4 Ranger Training Course, RPA Operations Overview, Meet the RPA team, review of RPA Technology including aerial drone demonstrations, the opportunity to fly in a gyrocopter, pilot a UAV, and animal tracking procedures.

 In addition to the above, Jeep will contribute R10 000 per vehicle sold, to the RPA Public Benefit Organisation.  The Wrangler Sahara 3.6L V6 A5 Conservation Edition will retail for R475 990 with the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 3.6L V6 A5 for R515 990.00 and the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 2.8L CRD A5 at R569 990.
