Lexus confirms sportier LS500 F-Sport for New York

Lexus has released a teaser image of a third version of its recently launched LS500 set debut alongside the normal LS500 and LS500h at the New York Auto Show next week.

Although it would be fair to say that the variety of changes are expected to be at the front, the single rear-end picture hints at the F-Sport's sporty intensions, namely a bootlid-mounted F-Sport badge, chrome exhaust tip and chrome detailing on the bumper and a slim bar in the centre of the taillights.

While Lexus is yet to release performance details, it is rumoured that the F-Sport could gain a more powerful version of the existing 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, which currently makes 310 kW and 600 Nm of torque in the normal LS500. Expect the F-Sport to also incorporate a number of interior tweaks to differentiate it from the LS500 and LS500h, as well as revised steering and suspension.
