The kit consists of M Performance parts to enhance styling and performance. Only 500 units of the M Performance Edition will be produced at BMW’splant in Rosslyn, Pretoria. The units will consist of the 320i, 320d, 328i, 330d and 335i model variants.
Many of these parts are already available, however, BMW insists that buying the vehicle with these parts already installed will present a saving of 43% compared to a normal 3 Series sedan specified with the same options and separately fitted.
Standard features on these models include 19” M Sport wheels and brakes, M Performance Aerodynamic Package, side sills with foil, carbon rear spoiler and wing mirror caps and black M Performance front grille.
As options on the 328i and 335i, you can specify the M Performance exhaust system, Laguna Seca Blue and Valencia Orange metallic paint colours. The M Performance Power Kit is also available for the 320d, 330d and 335i, which increases power output by between 10kW and 15kW and torque by over 30Nm.
The Limited Edition models will cost an extra R50 000 over the standard model and R65 000 if specified with metallic paints. If the parts were fitted at a dealer, the cost would be R87 000. The M Performance Exhaust System will set you back R11 755 while the power kit adds another R15 670.
