Manchester United's new Chevrolet home-shirt revealed


LAST Thursday, Chevrolet released a video - teasing football fans - of the new Manchester United home kit. The new shirt kicks-off Chevrolet’s seven-year agreement as Manchester United’s shirt sponsor.

The video features Manchester United players, legends and fans, while also paying tribute to the history of Manchester United shirts, dating from the club’s inception in 1878. It shows fans marching down the streets of Manchester, while singing the Glory, Glory Man United anthem and eventually arriving at Old Trafford where current players, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, Robin van Persie, David De Gea and assistant manager, Ryan Giggs, joins them. The video ended before showing the new shirt.

Nine Manchester United legends also appear in the video, namely, Sir Bobby Charlton, Alex Stepney, Denis Law, Lou Macari, Arthur Albiston, Norman Whiteside, Clayton Blackmore, Denis Irwin and Gary Pallister.

The full video, along with images of the new official T-shirt, has made its début today on Manchester United’s official Facebook page captioned with: New Era, New Shirt. This is how Louis van Gaal's Manchester United will look in 2014/15 - #MUFCkit.”

Richard Arnold, Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, said it’s a historic day of Manchester’s partnership with Chevrolet, as they officially become only the fifth shirt sponsor in 136 years and is pleased at how Chevrolet is honouring the club’s past and involving the supporters in such an intimate way.
