On the 21st of February, Maserati gave the first glimpse of the Levante, which completes the range of sedans and sports cars. The Levante’s design features its Italian character and clear association with the brand.
The aggressive front includes tapered headlights, separated into two units, with the upper headlight unit connected to the radiator grille. Maserati’s design signature is clear on the sides with three iconic air vents on the front fender, the trapezoidal C-pillar with the “Saetta” logo and the large, frameless door windows. The rear is dominated by a slanted back window and streamlined shape, both typical features of a high-performance sports car.
The Levante’s chassis is designed to combine on-road performance with unrivalled handling, even on low-grip surfaces as well as excellent off-road performance and ride. The new Maserati comes with an impressive amount of standard features, such as: sophisticated electronic suspensions with controlled damping and air springs with variable settings, “Q4” intelligent all-wheel-drive and eight-speed automatic transmission specially calibrated for the brand's new SUV.
The first cars have already come off the assembly line at the Mirafiori plant in Turin. The European launch is planned for this spring, after which market launches throughout the world will follow.
