13.12.2016

Mere hours after releasing a number of teaser images, leaked brochure details and pictures of new Mercedes-Benz E-class Coupe appeared online.

Posted by Belgain-based website, AutoTijd.be, the leaked images shows the two-door E-class taking some styling hints from the bigger S-class Coupe and GLE Coupe, while also detailing its appearance in Avantgarde and AMG-Line trims.

As well as featuring Benz's now familiar optional 12.3-inch digital display and a 23-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system, the E-class Coupe will be made available with Agility Control and the multi-mode Drive Select system on the AMG-Line.

Up front, the newcomer will initially be available with a choice of three turbocharged petrol engines and a single turbodiesel, all connected to a 9G-Tronic box.

The former option will consist of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 135 kW and 300 N.m of torque in the E200, a similar sized mill but with 180 kW and 370 N.m in the E300, and a 3.0-litre V6 with 245 kW and 480 N.m in all-wheel drive E400 4Matic. Diesel power will come from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder developing 143 kW and 400 N.m in the E220d.
