It’s called the Continental GT V8 S and will be available in both coupé and convertible formats. The V8 S features a modified version of Bentley’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 that develops 389kW and 680Nm of torque.
Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Bentley claims a 0-100km/h sprint of 4.3 seconds (4.5 seconds for the convertible) and a top speed of 308km/h. Even with such impressive performance figures, Bentley says the V8 S models are able to cover over 800km on a single tank of fuel.
The ride height has been lowered by 10mm to offer a more sporty experience, but not at the expense of ride comfort. The suspension upgrades also include recalibrated dampers, steering and electronic stability control.
The V8 S is easily noticeable, thanks to some stylish design touches and model-specific 20-inch alloys. On the inside, customers can choose from a selection of 17 hide colours, while the convertible has a unique contrasting centre stripe in the roof lining. Throw in some real chrome detailing and piano-black veneer and you have a luxurious cabin any superrich person would be proud of.
