More relief at the pumps

WE know that everyone is as relieved as we are here at Autodealer to hear from the Department of Energy that the price of 93-octane petrol will decrease by R1.27 a litre, 95-octane by R1.23 a litre and diesel by R1.05 a litre from 7 January.

The underlying reason behind the spate of recent decreases is the fact that the price of crude oil has decreased so rapidly of late, which has led to a decrease in the prices of petroleum products in the international markets.

The decrease in oil prices has ensured that even though the Rand has depreciated against the US dollar that the fuel price has still come down.
