New BMW M5 leaked in latest NFS teaser

Shown only wearing significant to light levels of camouflage before its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, clear shots of the new BMW M5 have emerged as part of its featuring in the new Need for Speed: Payback driving game.

Already confirmed to feature the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 as its F10 predecessor although retuned to produce 450 kW and 700 Nm, as well as selectable xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox as opposed to the seven-speed dual-clutch available previously, the spy shots sees the new F90 receiving a more aggressive appearance with a wider kidney grille, corporate headlights and revised front bumper.

Said to reach 100 km/h from zero in 3.5 seconds before hitting the electronic buffers at 250 km/h, the F90 will receive a new Active M rear differential able to split torque evenly between the front and rear axles, as well uprated brakes and a three mode stability control programme.
