New BMW ring racer


WITH the 'M' badge being associated with racing success it makes of sense that there be a racing version of the new BMW 2-series.

The Bavarian marque recently announced an entry-level racing car based on the upcoming M235i coupé. The vehicle was shown to the public for the first time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will go on to compete at tracks as infamous as the Nürburgring.

The M235i Racing was co-developed by BMW Team Schnitzer DTM driver Martin Tomczyk,who had the following to say about the competition machine,“BMW and the Nordschleife go hand in hand anyway and it isgreat to see a new car like this breathing new life into this long tradition. For those starting out in motorsport, it will be a joy to be taken on the ‘Green Hell’ in the BMW M235i Racing. The new format of the BMW M235i Racing Cup is also extremely interesting and exactly what BMW fans want to see at the Ring.”
