New Volvo XC60 spied ahead of possible Geneva premiere

22.02.2017

Fresh spy images of the eagerly anticipated Volvo XC60 have surfaced online ahead of its reported world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Posted by Indian online platform, indianautosblog.com, the disguised prototype betrays its identity by virtue of the same grille and 'Thor's Hammer' LED headlights as the S90 and XC90, with the profile resembling that of the outgoing XC60, albeit now with the same L-shaped taillights as its bigger sibling.

Soon to be replaced by the XC40 as the new entry-level Volvo SUV, the XC60 will ride on same Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform as the S90 and XC90, with power expected to come from the same range of 2.0-litre Drive-E petrol and diesel engines, as well as brand new 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol.
