Although decked out in thick layers of camouflage, the images captured by motor1.com suggests a radical departure from the current model, with the headlights, partially exposed grille, wheels and even the taillights taking hints from the FT-AC Concept shown at the Los Angeles International Auto Show last year.
Earlier this month, Vice President and General Manager for Toyota North America, Jack Hollis, told autoguide.com that feedback regarding the FT-AC had "been strong", and that it could become a production reality if given the go-ahead.
At present, no details about either model are known, although speculation is that the RAV4 could move to the same TNGA platform as the C-HR and Prius, which also underpins the FT-AC. Reports have alleged that the new RAV4 could debut towards the end of this year or in early 2019.
