Nissan Hardbody hits big 25

THE NISSAN NP300 Hardbody one-ton bakkie has been a staple for Nissan and to celebrate the nameplate, Nissan has decided to launch a 25-year anniversary edition, which is set to hit the market in December.

Built locally at Nissan’s Rosslyn manufacturing plant in Pretoria, the Hardbody badge was applied to the NP300 to engage with the agricultural, construction, mining and SMME sectors within South Africa as well as across borders in mind.

Made to express the proud heritage around the Hardbody name, Nissan has created the Silver Anniversary Limited Edition models, which feature a host of functional additions and unique touches while retaining the attractive price.

Available in single- or double-cab body styles, these limited-edition models all feature unique accessories and special features to set them apart from the rest of the range, as well as the tried-and-trusted 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine and 4x2 drivetrains.

The single-cab derivative includes over R15 000 worth of accessories and detail changes, including Silver Anniversary branded leather seats and carpet set, rubberised load box, black nudge bar and running boards, leather door panels and tinted windows.

The double-cab version includes all the value-added extras of the single cab, along with an integrated DVD and satellite-navigation system with reverse camera. A silver nudge bar, tonneau cover and Bluetooth hands-free mobile connectivity for cell-phone use and audio streaming, USB and iPod connectivity are also included.

Special promotional pricing on the Nissan NP300 Hardbody 2.5 TDi Silver Anniversary Limited Edition models includes a 6-year/150 000km warranty.
