Nissan adds to Juke line-up

NISSAN is expanding its South African line-up by introducing new CVT and all-wheel-drive versions of the popular Juke.

The CVT gearbox uses two pulleys with a steel belt running between them to continuously vary its gear ratios. The system perceives the driving situation through calculating the car’s driving conditions, allowing for fun, intuitive driving pleasure.

This transmission is mated to a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre engine and is available in Acenta specification.

The All-Mode 4x4i is an intelligent AWD system available exclusively on the turbocharged Juke model. It distributes torque between the front and rear wheels via a torque-vectoring system, which is also able to split power between the two rear wheels via an electronically controlled coupling to reduce understeer. Real-time info regarding the AWD system is displayed on the centre console.

This AWD model is only available with the above-mentioned CVT gearbox. This should allow the driver to explore the capabilities of the 140kW/240Nm turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine. The interior of this model also comes as standard with full leather trim.
