Both instructors and apprentices alike chose the Mini Cooper S Paceman as their base model. The car was transformed into a two-seater with a pick-up style cargo area. The 135kW turbocharged engine, all-wheel-drive ALL4 is standard but the suspension has been modified. The model has been called, Paceman Adventure.
The passenger compartment has been removed and in its place is a spacious cargo area for luggage, tools and equipment. The roof rack can also accommodate a spare wheel.
The Paceman Adventure is suitable for driving on gravel roads, through muddy tracks or on desert trails. There’s extended ground clearance and much higher front and rear clearance ramps. The snorkel-like roof level air intake means that Mini Paceman Adventure could tackle a river crossing!
There are lights mounted on the front cross-member of the roof rack to optimize visibility at night and special off-road tyres with wide and deep treads.
The Paceman Adventure is a one-off model with no plans for series production.
