Slotting in above the regular Turbo as the new flagship model, the Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid remains aesthetically unchanged from the standard model, with the biggest difference being a change from six to eight-cylinders.
Packing the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine as the normal Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the unit in the Sport Turismo punches out 404 kW and 700 Nm of torque, but adds a 100 kW electric motor for a total system output of 500 kW and 850 Nm of torque.
Connected to a eight-speed PDK gearbox with drive going to all four wheels, the Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid, according to Porsche, will complete the 0-100 km/h dash in the same 3.4 seconds as the sedan, and 0-200 km/h in 8.5 seconds before topping out at 310 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 3.0 L/100 km and emissions at 140 g/km.
Utilising a 14.1 kWh battery pack, the Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid has a claimed all-electric range of 49 km with a charging time of 2.4 to six hours depending on the connection type used.
As with the standard E-Hybrid, the Turbo S E-Hybrid's shooting brake design allows for a total cargo capacity of 425-litres or 1 295-litres with the rear seats folded down, while standard equipment includes 21-inch Turbo alloy wheels, three-chamber air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and the Sports Chrono Package.
