Rolls-Royce Phantom sails off with nautical themed final edition

Concluding an almost 14 year production run, Rolls-Royce has unveiled the final version of its Phantom VII in preparation for the new eighth generation expected next year.

Based on the Extended Wheelbase model, which measures 250 mm longer than the regular Phantom, the one-off unofficially titled "connoisseur collector" edition sports a nautical theme inside with artwork depicting a 1930's era cruise ship and a number of clocks, housed inside a grooved bezel with 24 times zones, resembling a ship's radio.

Finished in Velvet Blue claimed to have been inspired by the ocean, and boasting hand-cut wake effect lambswool floor mats, pinstripe wheels and a polished silver Sprit of Ecstasy, power remains unchanged from the standard Phantom with the 6.75-litre V12 still producing 338 kW and 720 N.m of torque.

Final pricing has not been revealed although given the "normal" Extended Wheelbase's starting price of £378 824 (R6 362 130) in the UK, expect the connoisseur to be significantly dearer.
