Porsche’s four-door sports cars play an important role in the brand’s profitable growth and help safeguard the financial foundation for investments in future generations of sports cars. The Panamera has been one of the key pillars of success since its premiere in 2009. A total of 24 864 units of the model were delivered in 2014 alone.
The Panamera Edition and Panamera 4 Edition both come with an engine that delivers 228kW. The Panamera 4 Edition features active all-wheel-drive with an electronically controlled, map-controlled multi-plate clutch (Porsche Traction Management).
The exterior of the Panamera Edition is marked by additional subtle design tones, including high-glossy black trim strips on the side windows and door handles (if Porsche Entry and Drive is chosen as an optional feature) in the same colour. The standard 19-inch alloy wheels in Panamera Turbo II design feature wheel hub covers with a coloured Porsche crest.
The Panamera Edition also boasts bi-colour part-leather upholstery in black-Luxor beige with the Porsche crest embossed on all head rests, sport design steering wheel, door sill plates with Edition lettering and special floor mats. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a seven-inch touchscreen monitor combines audio, navigation and communication features. An outstanding sound experience is ensured by a 585W Bose surround sound system with 14 speakers.
Extensive technical features also included in the Panamera Edition are Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), park assist (front and rear), including reversing camera and power steering plus. The new Panamera Edition models are now available for order in South Africa.
