Reported to be offered in both five and seven seat configurations, the new yet as unnamed model will ride on the same platform as the NP300 Navara, and see the Japanese manufacturer return to the body-on-frame SUV segment since dropping the D40 Navara-based Pathfinder in 2014.
Although little else is known at this stage, expect the newcomer to also make use of the Navara's 2.3-litre turbodiesel with 120 kW and 403 N.m of torque in single turbo form, and 140 kW and 450 N.m in twin-turbo guise. A six-speed manual or optional seven-speed automatic will make up the transmission choices.
Expect the newcomer to be fully revealed and more details divulged next year.
