Study BMW 8-series leaks online ahead of Villa d’Este concours debut

Teased two weeks ago after numerous Nürburgring sightings, undisguised images of the concept BMW 8-series have leaked online ahead of its reveal at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the banks of Lake Como in Italy this coming Friday (May 26th).

Cutting a sleek figure and expected to use the same 8-series ahead of concept's May 26th unveiling">CLAR platform as the 5-and-7-series, the revived Eight will replace the recently axed 6-series Coupe as BMW's new flagship luxury coupe, and rival the Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe.

No engine details have yet been announced, although reports suggest the availability of the same six, eight and twelve cylinder engines as the 7-series, meaning the reported M8 could potentially make use of its sedan sibling's 448 kW / 800 Nm 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12.

Expect more details to be revealed soon.
