Subaru drops more Ascent visual hints

Subaru has released yet another teaser image of its new Ascent seven-seat SUV, also confirming that it will debut on November 28th at the Los Angeles International Auto Show.

Indirectly succeeding the long since discontinued Tribeca, the single snap sees the Ascent taking design hints from the Forester, most notably the headlights with integrated LEDs, the taillights, upwards sweeping rear window line and basic silhouette.

Expected to ride on the same Global Platform as the Impreza and XV, the Ascent will be built at Subaru's Lafayette Plant in Indiana, and while no technical details have yet been announced, expect it to feature the Forester's 2.5-litre flat four engine or even the 3.6-litre flat-six powering the Outback and Legacy.
