The Hulk to debut new Renault Megane RS in Monaco

Renault has confirmed previous reports that its much teased and spied Megane RS will make its first public debut this coming Friday (May 26th) as part of the Monaco Grand Prix build-up, with current Formula 1 driver team driver Nico Hulkenberg behind the wheel.

Aside from featuring a black and yellow livery in celebration of the company's 40th anniversary of F1 involvement as a constructer and/or engine supplier, technical details of the RS are still unknown with rumours suggesting it will use the same 1.8-litre turbocharged engine as the Alpine A110, with around 221 kW on tap, or a new blown 2.0-litre.

While only previewed in a series of rear end shots leaked over the last two weeks, the five-door only RS is expected to retain a six-speed manual gearbox, with a seven-speed EDC optional for the first time. Another first will be inclusion of the Megane GT's rear-wheel steering system as standard.
