Standard features of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S reflect the top level of this model. They include 21-inch wheels in distinctive 911 Turbo design with black painted edges, LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus), full-leather interior with Porsche logo embossed on all head restraints as well as interior carbon accents. Interior styling in a black/cream colour combination is making its début in the Cayenne Turbo S.
Creating exterior visual accents are the air inlet surround at the front of the vehicle that is painted in high-gloss black, the undersides of the door mirrors in the same colour and the roof spoiler and wheel arch mouldings in car colour. A sport exhaust system is available as an option, which optimally transmits the V8 sound experience into the interior.
About that V8 lump mentioned above…it’s a re-engineered 4.8-litre V8 bi-turbo engine, which now develops 419kW and 800Nm of torque. The more spontaneous response of the bi-turbo engine is primarily a benefit of the integral turbochargers, which are now housed directly in the exhaust manifolds. The high-performance engine offers more power and more torque than the previous engine. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds and will keep going until its top speed of 284km/h.
Porsche engineers have also tuned the chassis for maximum driving dynamics. It now packs a wide range of control, which makes the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S a genuine top athlete. What does all that mean? Well, if you care about lap times then knowing that the Cayenne Turbo S can run a lap at the North Loop of the Nürburgring in six seconds short of eight minutes, should impress you.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will be launched in Germany during the second quarter of 2015. We’re not sure about its local release but we will be sure to keep you posted.
