The boys are back in Mzanzi

While motoring fans across the globe complain about the latest episode of Top Gear with Chris Evans behind the wheel we have some good news. Jeremy, Richard and James are headed to Johannesburg for the first recording of their all new show, known now as “The Grand Tour.”

The first episode will begin production in Jo’burg on the 17th of July. The pre-recorded studio section of the programme will be filmed in front of a live audience, housed in a giant tent, which is not a beer tent by the way.

The exciting bit will be that we, as South Africans will be the first to experience the new show. Clarkson tweeted: “So there we are. First stop on our Grand Tour is Johannesburg. Mid July. Details on how to get tickets follow shortly.”May joked on Twitter of their first show: “Here we go. Chosen by Richard Hammond, who’s run out of biltong.” A South African fan asked if they were for real, May replied: “Yes, for real. We’ll have to have a Bra, a Bray, a, oh you know, a South African barbecue,” he wrote. Bring the beers and the boerewors because this is going to be quite the experience.
