Toyota Supra prototype spied with less camouflage

Still sporting significant amounts of camouflage, albeit less than before, more aesthetic details of the long awaited revived Toyota Supra have been detailed in the latest batch of spy images.

Pictured undergoing cold weather testing and then at a petrol station in Germany, the coupe only Supra, which will also spawn the cabriolet only BMW Z5 as part of a collaboration between BMW and Toyota, draws inspiration from the 2014 FT-1 concept, although the front and rear light clusters are more reminiscent of those adorning the iconic third generation A80.

A complete range of four-and-six-cylinder turbocharged engines, reportedly sourced from BMW, will be available along with a possible hybrid drivetrain. While further details are still vague, US magazine Car and Driver has suggested that a preview model could debut at Tokyo Motor Show in October.
