Toyota Yaris gains TRD Sportivo makeover... for Thailand only

Toyota Thailand has unveiled a special edition version of its Yaris supemini, based on the SUV-inspired Heykers model.

Longer and wider than the XP130 generation sold in South Africa, Europe and Australia, the limited run Yaris TRD Sportivo, which carries the internal designation XP150, mainly adds a series of exterior upgrades notably black front and rear bumper cladding, satin silver roof rails, black door cladding with chrome highlights, bumper integrated front foglights, bespoke black 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and unique yellow paint finish.

Inside, the interior features yellow insets on the doors and dash, black leather seats with yellow stitching, TRD Sportivo branding on the yellow stitched floor mats and a seven-inch touch screen display with standard reverse camera.

Priced at 649 000 baht (R259 925), the TRD Sportivo comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 63 kW and 108 N.m of torque, with drive going to the front wheels via a seven-step CVT.
