Ultimate GTR in the metal at Goodwood

THE Virtual Nissan GTR concept, created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo driving game, has been made into an actual car which will be shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The car was initially created as a design study which would be used in the sixth instalment of the Gran Turismo 6 series. Thanks to a great response to the project which was designed by a team at Nissan Design Europe in London, the engineering team in Japan has benefited from it and therefore made a model version of this special project

The concept uses design elements from current Nissan Performance models while emphasising airflow management to create a more aerodynamic road car. While we will not be able to drive the car in the real world, owners of the game will be able to download the car as from July 2014 to give everyone a taste of what a future GTR may be like.

The project is intended to help us envision what a GTR would look like in 2020. We hope this is the case because that’s a future we can see ourselves fitting into quite nicely.
