Posted on twitter but deleted shortly afterwards, the image sees the GTI adopting the Lion brand's now signature two-tone paint finish, with further aesthetic differences from the regular 308 consisting of a black grille, wider air vents and red brake callipers. No rear end images were released, but it expect the changes to be minor and mirror those of the standard model.
Motive power will again come from a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, rumoured to produce 216 kW as opposed to the current model's 200 kW. A six-speed manual is likely to continue as the only gearbox option.
