We have more information on the new Range Rover Evoque

As promised, we have more details on the new, face-lifted Range Rover Evoque. The Evoque is Range Rovers fastest selling model and rightfully so, just look at it. Sure it can get its feet dirty but the looks alone sell hundreds of these things. Range Rover has enhanced the looks ever so slightly for 2015. We have the details for you right here.

Range Rover Evoque’s cutting-edge exterior design has been further enhanced with a selection of carefully chosen revisions. These updates include a new front bumper, two new grille designs, all-LED headlamps and four all-new alloy wheel designs.  These changes will enhance the Evoque’s unique design to a broad range of customers. The introduction of the slimline LED foglamps and a noticeably wider tow-eye cover enhance the new front bumper design. This new Evoque will also be the first Range Rover to be offered with full-LED adaptive headlamps, providing superior visibility at night. The enlarged air intakes allude to its sporting character and create a more planted stance and further emphasise Evoque’s assertive road presence.

As mentioned, two new grille designs are available in a range of premium finishes. The Evoque’s standard grille is distinguished by two bold horizontal bars and a new fine-mesh grille pattern. Dynamic derivatives feature a hexagonal design, and its more prominent mesh area lends a suitably performance-oriented character to these sporting derivatives.

Interior changes include new seats and door casings, all-new eight-inch infotainment touchscreen and the introduction of new colour and materials such as Lunar Ice, Vintage Tan and Dark Cherry (Autobiography only) complementing Evoque’s bold architectural forms. The new seats and door casings combined with a redesigned instrument binnacle promote a sophisticated ambiance to the overall interior. New premium soft-touch materials create improved levels of quality with a broader specification range than ever before.

Land Rover’s advanced new diesel engine also debuts. The new EU6-compliant four-cylinder Ingenium unit brings a class-leading combination of performance, refinement and efficiency. In South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa (SSA) markets the SD4 engine continues to do duty, paired with the unique-in-class nine-speed automatic transmission. African and sub-Sahara African market Evoque derivatives will continue to be available with the 2.2-litre SD4 turbo diesel engine and Land Rover’s 2.0-litre Si4 turbo petrol engine. The advanced new EU6 emissions compliant Ingenium diesel engines are under-going evaluation for local introduction as soon as practical.

With 177kW on tap, the Si4 petrol engine delivers strong performance, with acceleration from 0-100km/h in just 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 217km/h. Fuel economy is rated at 7.8 l/100km.
