Ford branches FX4 out to Ranger 2.2

Ford has introduced a number of revisions to the Ranger line-up for 2018, mostly centring around the FX4 launched locally back in April.

Previously restricted to the 3.2 TDCi XLT double cab, the FX4 pack can now be had on the 2.2 TDCi XLT double cab with either the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. Also new is a optional Ford approved spray-on bin liner used on the F150 in the United States since 2008, that can be installed at all Ford dealerships and which is covered under the Ranger's existing four year / 100 000 km warranty.

In addition to the new SYNC 3 with navigation media interface launched earlier this year, all XLT and FX4 models are equipped with front parking sensors as standard.
