Tata workhorse subtly updated

Tata South Africa has introduced a mildly revised version of its 207Di workhorse, now known as the 207Di EX2.

Previously known as the Telcoline before being replaced by the more leisure focused Xenon in 2007, the EX2 mainly gains a number of aesthetic changes consisting of blue, white and black decals down the side and on the bonnet, new wheel covers and a cab protector. Being aimed as a no frills worker, the interior is sparce on equipment with the biggest change being new cloth-trimmed seats.

Still offering a dropside loadbox as standard, the EX2 is powered by a low-blow 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine developing 52 kW and 225 N.m of torque, with drive going to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

A three year / 100 000 warranty is included in the R169 995 sticker price.
