Limited Qashqai to woo new buyers

NISSAN unveiled a few limited-edition derivatives of its award-winning Qashqai range a few months ago and we got to put the 1.5 dCi Acenta Limited Edition with a glass roof through its paces.

With 78kW of power and 240Nm of torque, this impressive offering delivers outstanding fuel economy (5.1 litres/100km) and carbon emissions (135g/100km). The six-speed gearbox with closer ratios allows for optimal utilisation of the available power.

The Qashqai dominates the urban landscape thanks to its high driving position and SUV attributes that provide a broader vista, along with its uncompromising strength and agility.

The interior reflects a ‘no compromise’ attitude and noise reduction with a state-of-the-art four-layer insulated dashboard and acoustic windscreen that optimise the engine-noise insolation. There are many other clever functionalities like cruise control, steering controls and Bluetooth hands-free kit, as well as illuminating lighting around the front foot wells.

The LCD display gives added clarity and legibility and makes it an overall nice place to be and, probably most importantly, a safe place. The Qashqai carries a five-star Euro NCAP rating for adult-occupant protection, which was a high priority, using the latest computer simulations to offer a high degree of impact protection.

With superb traction control, excellent stopping power, stable handling and the latest-generation Vehicle Dynamic Control, the Qashqai definitely makes you feel more than confident when taking to the city streets. Furthermore, safety features also include six airbags and ISOFIX child anchors. In the event of a collision, the front active head-restraint system protects the front occupant’s neck from injury by moving forward to reduce the risk of whiplash, proving that Nissan really did put safety first.

The sporty 18-inch, 10-spoke diamond-cut alloys, aggressive front bumper and vibrant headlights definitely gives this new diesel a dynamic and sophisticated presence.
