THE BMW M6 Convertible has M detailing both inside and out. The exterior with its low-slung aprons, large air inlets and powerfully flared wheel housings, along with the M kidney grille with M6 emblem, indicates the motorsport genes inherent in the vehicle.
With the roof open, the BMW M6 convertible creates an extremely muscular effect. When closed, the soft-top emphasises the coupé-like silhouette. The powerfully modelled side with M air vent element and integrated indicator reinforces the optical dominance of the wheel housings with their muscular flared design and 19" wheels as standard or optional 20" M light-alloy wheels. The sporting rear underlines the broad track width, while rear diffuser and M twin tailpipes impressively round off the rear of the vehicle.
Closed, or with the sky as co-pilot, the interior is the ideal place to enjoy a motorsport atmosphere in luxurious surroundings. The dominant design concept is consistently driver-orientated. From the illuminated M6 entry sills, ergonomic M seats and centre console, to the typical M appearance of the instrument panel – the BMW M6 convertible signals performance capacity down to the finest detail.
Powering the beast is a 680Nm/412kW M TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine, which catapults the BMW M6 convertible from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds. The seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic transforms its rich driving force into pure driving pleasure without any interruption in traction, while the Active M Differential was developed in order to further optimise the superior properties of the rear-wheel-drive.
