Former Absa Special Vehicle Co-drivers Champion, Brandon Harcus, will have an opportunity to showcase his talents when he takes on America’s best in the SCORE Las Vegas Terrible’s Cup at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on July 29 and 30.
Harcus secured an invitational slot in the all-star line up and will come up against 17 tough contenders in Class 1 for unlimited buggies, which include the likes of Damen Jeffries in a Porter Chevy, Troy Herbst in a Smithbuilt Ford who has won 16 Class 1 races since 1997, reigning Class 1 champion John Marking in the Jimco Chevy, Harley Letner in the Tatum Chevy and the owner of Jimco, Mike Julson, who will be in action in a Jimco.
“I’ll be racing my single seater BAT, which should be very competitive against the American machines,” said an excited Harcus. “This is the first time that a South African built car will race in the SCORE Championship and I can’t wait to showcase the BAT’s capabilities.”
The SCORE Las Vegas Terrible’s Cup will be contested under floodlights on a 2,4km man-made ‘chunk of Baja’ course in and around the dirt track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will feature spectacular jumps and simulated desert race sections.
