Off-road enthusiasts who want to “rough it” will be able to let their hair down in their own area at the Carnival City Casino 400, the final round of this year’s SA Off Road Car Racing Championship…presented by Absa, on November 14 and 15.

Plenty of vantage points for those who want a biltong, braaivleis and sunny skies atmosphere will be available in a wooded area west of the casino complex. There will be ample parking and toilet facilities in the area, which will be in close proximity to a six-kilometer section of the route specially constructed for the Carnival City Casino 400.

Access to the area will be via Louw Street. Direction boards will be displayed at freeway exits along the N17.

The Carnival City Casino 400 is the final event of the season, with a number of championship issues to be settled.

The Koepel Club event provides off-road enthusiasts with a weekend full of family entertainment. A spectator friendly route offers spectator points along the course and within the Carnival City Casino complex.

There will be secure parking and toilet and refreshment facilities within the Carnival City Casino complex and the area assigned to the off-road race. There will also be added fun for children – with children’s activities under adult supervision - who will be able to enjoy themselves at a kart circuit, skateboard park and climbing wall.

The action gets underway at 12:00 on Friday, November 14 with a Prologue, which will consist of two laps of the short course track, to determine starting positions for the main event with the main event starting at 08:00 on Saturday, November 15.
