why no grill to protect the radiator on the ecosport front bumper - all other ford models have one 1 why no protective grill fitted to the ecosport lower front bumper - all other ford models have one. I managed to get one from china which I fitted myself. ford dealer was sympathetic but otherwise unhelpful. Could this be a safety issue?

just brought a brand new ecosport but why when I turn the engine on does my foglights automatically come on and not a side light. I can't seem to turn them off only when I turn the switch to parking then they go off. Should any light come on and stay on when starting engine and driving in daylight like most new cars do.

I want to buy a ford ecosport. This vehicle has been standing for over a year due to a deceased estate being finalised. Will there be any issues with the vehicle due to the fact that it has been standing for so long?

usually tyres can get flat spots on them and battery will need replacing, but mostly it will be fine if the environment wast hazardous.

I have seen or heard of a number of Ecosport broken in , including mine in Gauteng. In my case they stole my laptop. Is there a way we can protect these vehicles against these easy break inns.

Purchased a new Ecosport Titanium and took delivery in May 2017. It is not at all up to the expected level of Ford Quality. Today it is in the repair garage for the 4th time for the same problem of the rear brakes making a clunking sound when applying the brakes lightly. I know what the problem is but they haven't found it yet even after I told them what to look at. Today I talked to the young mechanic instead of the old Meister and he will probably get it fixed. Another problem is a clunking sound from the front when driving over an uneven surface. On cobblestone, it sounds like the engine is going to fall out. Over all quality and value of the amenities in the car are not up to par. It is way to expensive for what you get. I would never buy another one and never recommend it to anyone. Being from Detroit, I have never owned or driven an Asian car but this experience has made me think about it.

Our 2016 ecosport 1.5 Trend. Battery goes flat randomly and when pushed it starts quickly no problem, drive around the block, switch off and then start again no problem. Battery tests frequently done and then shows 100%. Eastvaal Ford Emalahleni not able to fix but suggest change of battery. Test done by me; leave light switch on park, swith car off and lock. Few hours later, battery dead.

Hi Koos My wife Drives an Ecosport 1.5 TDci which we bought new in October 2015 and over the last few months it has developed the exact same issue that you describe above except that the battery is NOT dead but fully charged and stays constantly at 12.5 volts but the car will not start. If you leave it for a few minutes with the ignition turned off then the engine starts as normal. I was wondering if you received any answers as to what the problem is. We have also had the battery checked at battery specialists and they find no fault with the battery.

Does anybody have a solution on the easy break-in the Ecosport have? Three times now they pop the drivers lock, that switched off the alarm, and activated the central (un)locking. Making it possible for them to access the trunk

I bought my Ford Ecosport 1litre Titanium model in July 2018 and have already had 3 break-in’s. At 1st I thought it was remote jamming but after today where the lock has been forced open and part of the door handle was lying on the floor, next to the car I am starting to wonder if this car has a faulty lock which is very easily opened. What are your thoughts on this?

2019 EcoSport Abiante .....Ford has a big problem in two fold ..my car has also been broken into ...and it is so easy to break into this car ...and now Ford does not want to admit to two problems.... 1) you only have to turn the key 10 to 15 degrees and the locking system opens... vow you have to turn the key 90 degrees before it unlocks ...this is how they getting in. 2) the alarm is not functioning correct .... in any other make and only in some other Ford makes ....if u You open a car with a mechanical key the alarm MUST go off to warn you that there is a add normal way you are opening the car ...and only when switching the ignition on the alarm goes off ...that is even how my wife’s 2010 VW polo works ...but my 2019 Ford EcoSport alarm is switched off by forcing the mechanical lock open on drivers door allowing them into the car .. What has Ford done ...nothing ..R10 000 worth of equipment stolen out of my car as they can get into your boot too as no alarm . I have logged a ticket to Ford to change the alarm function ...no answer or support ...very disappointed in there support in this matter of surporting there customers. Of course they will not admit to the poor locking system as emagine the recall cost ..but you would think they would change at least the programming of the alarm ...so sad .....2019 car and they don’t have the basics of the alarm working correct ....

Anyone also experiencing a huge plume of white smoke on start-up for diesel Ecosport? I've read a few comments on other blogs (an interesting one on HelloPeter) but got no definitive answer.
